The NPC Training Branch is primarily responsible for facilitating technical training courses related to all NPC products. Training of user personnel is one of the key elements of integrated system support. The NPC provides technical training, including system administrator training, for NATO and national user communities on the Air C2 systems maintained by the NPC.
These training courses, which are tasked by the ACCS Software Sub Committees, are scheduled periodically at the NPC. The courses allow NPC customers to be more proficient users of the products supported by NPC and the courses also provide attendees with the appropriate information and training material for them to train other staff within their own unit.
NPC is also tasked to follow up the training provided by the ACCS contractor to the crews that will participate in the system testing and subsequent system acceptance of the respective NATO funded entities. The NPC Training Directorate will also be responsible for follow-on training of ACCS System Administrators and for centralized maintenance of the ACCS training material.
Since 2008, the NPC has hosted a significant amount of training courses conducted by industry in support of the ACCS LOC-1 contract. After completion of the initial training, NPC personnel will replicate the training and provide courses to technical personnel as part of the in-service support arrangements.
