- Legacy Systems normally refer to the family of systems which were produced starting with the NADGE Improvement Plan in the late 1960s.
- Interim Systems normally refer to those COTS based systems, which were introduced in the 1990's to bridge the gap between the legacy systems and ACCS.
- Future Systems
The legacy and interim system in use today will be replaced by state-of-the-art components from the new Air Command and Control System (ACCS).
